Coarse Thread Drywall Screws
Sinsun’s coarse thread drywall screws are made for installing gypsum boards and wooden frames. Their unique coarse thread structure provides excellent grip and tensile strength, and is suitable for home decoration, commercial engineering and DIY projects. The surface anti-rust treatment extends the service life, and the self-drilling tip reduces the need for pre-drilling, greatly improving construction efficiency.
1-1/4 Coarse Thread Drywall Screws
Sinsun’s Bugle head self-drilling screw is a self-contained drill bit design that can directly penetrate metal plates without pre-drilling. Made of high-hardness steel with anti-rust coating, it is suitable for a variety of indoor and outdoor environments. It is suitable for steel structure roofs, fence installation, light steel keel splicing, etc.
Coarse Thread Collated Drywall Screws
Bugle Head Self Tapping Screw is a self-tapping screw that can easily drill holes and form threads directly on metal, plastic or thin wood, eliminating the need for pre-tapping. The tip is sharp and cuts in quickly, It is suitable for furniture assembly, electrical housing fixing, light metal frame connection, etc.
32mm Plasterboard Screws
Our Bugle Head Drywall Screw is a special screw for gypsum board installation. After installation, the nail head naturally sinks into the board surface, keeping the wall surface flat and convenient for subsequent painting or wallpapering. It is suitable for scenes such as suspended ceilings, partition walls, and gypsum board splicing.
35mm Drywall Screws
Sinsun’s Galvanised Bugle Screws are screws designed to resist corrosion. The surface is galvanized to prevent rust and moisture, suitable for outdoor or humid environments. They are often used in fence construction, roof fixing, garden furniture assembly and other scenes. They can easily cope with the sun and rain and remain stable for a long time.
60mm Drywall Screws
Our black coated screws are black phosphated, rust-proof and wear-resistant, with a low-profile appearance. Suitable for indoor and outdoor decoration, furniture assembly or fence reinforcement, taking into account both practicality and aesthetics
75mm Drywall Screws
Sinsun’s 150mm Bugle Screwsare extended self-tapping screws designed for thick materials. The extra-long 150mm size has strong penetration and is suitable for fixing steel structures and heavy wooden beams. They are often used in roof construction, large shelf assembly or outdoor projects to ensure deep and firm connections.
- Quickly penetrate the gypsum board, making installation more labor-saving and efficient
- Provide a larger contact surface and strong grip
- Ensure that the gypsum board fits tightly to the frame to reduce the risk of loosening.

Technical Standards of Coarse Drywall Screw
Hardness grade: HRC 50-55 (carbon steel)
Surface treatment: rust-proof phosphate coating (standard), galvanized (corrosion-resistant upgrade)
Certification: ASTM C1513 (gypsum board screw standard), RoHS environmental certification
Product Core Advantages
✅ Coarse thread design: Deepen the thread pitch to quickly cut into soft materials (such as gypsum board, wooden frame), reducing the risk of thread slippage.
✅ Self-tapping tip: No need to pre-drill holes, directly penetrate the gypsum board and light steel keel.
✅ High tensile strength: The maximum tensile strength of carbon steel material is 1,800 MPa, and the corrosion resistance of stainless steel is increased by 3 times.
✅ Tear-resistant design: The double flat head structure evenly distributes pressure to prevent cracking of the gypsum board surface.
✅ Wide compatibility: Suitable for electric screwdrivers (recommended speed 1,500-3,000 RPM) or hand tools.
Fine Thread VS Coarse Thread Drywall Screw
| Dimensions | Fine thread screws | Coarse thread screws |
| Applicable boards | High-density gypsum board, cement fiber board, thin metal keel | thin metal keel Conventional density gypsum board, wooden keel |
| Installation speed Requires | higher speed (recommended 1800-2200 RPM power tools) | Suitable for medium and low speeds (1200-1500 RPM) |
| Seismic performance | Thread slip threshold ≥ 7-level vibration | Thread slip threshold ≤ 5-level vibration |
| Cost efficiency | the rework rate is reduced by 50% | easy to loosen and requires secondary reinforcement |
FAQ
It is recommended to use a speed-controlled electric screwdriver (with clutch). Manual installation can easily cause thread dislocation or head depression
It is applicable, but it is recommended to choose a model with TPI≤28. Too dense threads may cut wood fibers and reduce nail holding force.
Detection method: Wipe the screw with a white cloth. If it is obviously black, the phosphate layer is worn and anti-rust paint is required for repair.
Professional Purchase Suggestions
1️⃣ Measure density: Use a vernier caliper to measure the length of 10 threads. The error of high-quality fine threads is ≤0.12mm.
2️⃣ Test hardness: Use a file to lightly scrape the nail rod. Qualified products should have no obvious scratches (quenching meets the standard).
3️⃣ Check certification: The packaging must indicate the ASTM standard code to avoid purchasing unlabeled “special nails for construction site panels”.
